this is a great bra for large(i am 36 DDD/F) breasted women that don't like matronly bras. it has great support- and still you can wear a cleavage baring shirt. My only issue is that one of the the changeable straps(so that you can wear the bra in several configurations-which many might find a plus)on my bra occasionally becomes unhooked. But a a merit of this bra is that the bra still supports regardless -until I can reattach the strap- prob would also work strap-less. I am black and foolishly bought this bra and the very cute boyshorts. I didn't realize that the bra had padding the color of white skin. So when I put it on, it didn't match the sheer panty color. Ick.

If you have a white/tan colored skin like the fake color of this padding, then buy this bra. Otherwise, if your have dark skin (or very pale skin, I guess) do not buy this bra.

I went in for a professional fitting at Intimacy and bought one of these bras. Like one of the other reviewers said, it is really difficult to find a pretty bra in a larger cup size. Well, I have found one. It is attractive, comfortable and very supportive. No more tugging at my bra all day!

However, the underwire burst through the channel after the first washing. I buy top-quality bras, and I hadn't had this happen in many years. You probably know there is no reliable way to repair this. ONLY BECAUSE IT IS CHANTELLE, and everything else was first-rate, I will give this one another try. I will also say that I don't usually buy bras that are this delicate, and that may be why I haven't had problems with underwires for so long. However, be aware that, like many lacey bras, this one is for wear under your woven cotton shirts and medium-weight sweaters. This is a good movie to get if you're learning French and trying to pick up the dialog; there are no subtitles. I didn't quite get every little nuance--not that a translation would in any case--but I got enough to figure out the story and who is doing what to whom and why, more or less.

In the US, we would probably consider this story a movie of the week (MOW) instead of a feature. It's too short for a drama and a bit too long for a comedy, which this is not. There are also a bunch of plot holes and the ending leaves one of the major characters dangling, something Hollywood would not allow.

There are three main characters, played by Gerard Depardieu, Carole Bouquet, and Nathalie Baye. GD is married to CB and they have a son together, who is about 7. NB works for a PR firm and is about the same age as GD. NB is a cute blonde, while CB is, well, let's not beat about the bush ... nothing short of a modern Venus de Milo, gorgeous in every sense of the term, and in this movie 27 years old, and about 10 years younger than GD.

You're not gonna believe me when I tell you this, but GD decides to cheat on his wife with ... an older woman, i.e., NB. True, NB is spunky and charming and their chemistry is excellent, whereas CB is, well, apparently too beautiful for good ole bulbous nose. Can't stand prosperity, I guess. If the reference sounds familiar, GD cheats on CB again in a later movie by Blier called "Too Beautiful for You," only this time with Ms. Plump Frump -- see my review of that one for a laff.

The story is driven by something or other about a crime boss who decides to get nasty when GD (who is a lawyer) reveals embarrassing information about him in the press. There are some fight scenes and one murder scene but not to worry, this isn't "Goodfellas" and the amount of bad language is minimal -- but then I only understand a few of those curse words so far. You can skip all that anyway because there's nothing here that hasn't been done better in American gangster movies. Except that French thugs dress better (ha ha).

The movie works because of the contrast betwen the two women. NB's character is down to earth and approachable, whereas CB's character is regal and distant--maybe that's why GD strays. But that's only a theory because the reason is not really made clear. When CB is on screen, it's impossible to take your eyes off her. When she gets mad or expresses anger, she does so with such force that one almost believes she could kill someone if she went over the top. There is a scene where she almost does, when she finds out that it was NB that was cheating with her husband, follows her in her car, and crashes her BMW into NB's pea shooter. Hell hath no fury is about as well acted as you can imagine.

It all has a happy ending for GD and NB but we never find out what happens to CB. A loose end, and a rather embarrassing one. But maybe my French isn't yet good enough to figure it out.

They look like I just bought them! I had to share my review because when you find a bra like this, the world needs to know. After YEARS of searching for a GOOD, comfortable minimizer bra, I have finally found one that is almost perfect.
It FEELS awesome..
The straps could use about 1/2 inch more width to support heavy breasts better (to take the weight off of that single area of the shoulders that hurt the most) although theses straps are better than those on most minimizers..
I can only suggest that other ladies may want to order a larger band size than usual.
The cups really do minimize and the whole thing feels fabulous..The cost here is high in my opinion, but i was able to find one for nearly half off on one site. Mine was the very last one available for under $50 and it happened to be my size. Lucky me!
I ordered 1 size larger than usual (as recommended) but stuck with my usual cup size.. PERFECT!!!

This bra is spectacularly comfortable. I have it in the black and in the toffee and they're almost completely invisible under clothes- I had a semi-sheer white tee shirt on last night, and the toffee was totally undetectable. The bra is super smooth and really does the job, and even makes me look a bit slimmer, since the shape is less round than some other bras,and doesn't push my breasts into my armpits.

I wear a 34F, so the straps are significantly wider than those pictured, and the bra has a bit less of a demi-look in the larger cup sizes. The straps are still attractively wide-set, however. The larger cup sizes also have a 2-row closure in the back, rather than the 1 row pictured.

Also- since this is a French bra, I would say the cups run a little smaller- I often take a 34DD/E from other brands (Prima Donna, Wacoal, etc.)If you've never worn a chantelle bra before, you may want to go to a shop and get professionally fitted to ensure that the sizing is just right for your figure.

I first found and bought these bras at Nordstrom. I was so excited inspite of the $88 price to have a beautiful, supportive, well fitted bra in my size.

The wire poked thru the axilla in less than a month, I exchanged it or another, changed from Woolite to Dreft, bought a new lingerie wash bag but the wire poked thru the axilla again in 2 months.
My Nord sales person said a bra can't be expected to last longer than 6 months which mean this bra wasn't even surviving for >$10 per month its supposed to.
I found 1NWT on sale via ebay and it got a hole in the lace attached to the cup after 2 months. So I will never, ever recommend these.
